VICTIM FURIOUS AS CARE WORKER WHO ATTACKED HER WITH BASEBALL BAT RECEIVES COMMUNITY SERVICE
A woman named Margaret Suttie was assaulted by care worker Grant Campbell with a baseball bat at a friend's house in Cowdenbeath.Campbell, aged 35, approached from behind after an argument about a loan, and then he attacked her as she was talking on the phone, leaving her with a broken jaw, cuts, and severe bruising.
Campbell admitted to the attack and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
Margaret expressed her fury and urged prosecutors to appeal the sheriff's decision, stating, "He could have killed me.
He is an animal and should be in prison.
It's incredible such a violent man could ever find work in a nursing home.
The only consolation is he's no longer there." Her son Philip also voiced his outrage, saying, "I'll never forget my mum's screams as he attacked her.
Hopefully an appeal will get real justice." Campbell was unavailable for comment at the time.
Margaret believes that Campbell's violent behavior warrants a harsher punishment than community service and hopes for an appeal to seek justice.
