DENNIS JACKSON FROM WIDNES CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF CHILD INDECENT IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Widnes, Dennis Jackson, a man with no prior criminal record, has been found guilty of downloading a vast number of indecent images of children.

The incident came to light after police executed a search warrant at his residence on Mottishead Road in Widnes on November 16 of the previous year.

During the raid, authorities seized Jackson's tower computer, which was immediately subjected to forensic analysis.

Initial investigations uncovered evidence of indecent images of minors, prompting his immediate arrest.

Prosecutor Iain Criddle explained that Jackson claimed to officers that he had 'inadvertently downloaded files which contained indecent material but had subsequently deleted them.' Despite his assertions, further forensic examination revealed a more troubling picture.

The investigation uncovered a total of 1,462 indecent images depicting girls, most of whom appeared to be between the ages of four and thirteen.

Additionally, seven videos containing similar material were recovered from his computer.

These files had been organized into a specific folder, which investigators believe Jackson had created for his own reference.

Further analysis of his internet activity showed that Jackson had used search terms indicative of someone seeking out indecent images of children.

When questioned again on April 22 of this year, Jackson chose to remain silent and did not provide any further explanation.

Jackson, aged 57, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court to face charges related to the possession and download of child abuse images.

He pleaded guilty to the charges, admitting to the possession of indecent images of children.

The court was informed that Jackson is a former bus driver who served his country, and he has no previous convictions.

During sentencing, Recorder Stephen Riordan QC acknowledged Jackson's positive character and military service but emphasized that his online searches revealed an 'unhealthy interest in young children.' The judge noted that Jackson had taken some steps to address his issues since the discovery of his activities.

As a result, the court imposed a two-year community order on Jackson.

This included up to 30 days of rehabilitation activities aimed at addressing his behavior.

Additionally, Jackson was subjected to a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for the same duration, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to prevent further offenses.

The case has raised serious concerns within the Widnes community, highlighting the importance of vigilance and the need for continued efforts to protect vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.
