DEAN HANFORD FROM NEATH JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OFFENSES IN NEATH

A resident of Neath, Dean Hanford, has been sentenced to prison after he admitted to charges related to the creation and distribution of indecent images involving minors. The case was thoroughly investigated by the South Wales Police Online Investigation Team (POLIT), which uncovered disturbing evidence during their inquiry.

Hanford, aged 23 and originally from Blaengwynfi, made a rare and significant admission in court through his legal representative, confessing to being sexually attracted to children. This candid acknowledgment came as part of his plea, which was entered into the court proceedings, highlighting the severity of the allegations against him.

Further evidence was obtained during a warrant executed at Hanford’s residence in 2023. Authorities discovered that he had been actively receiving payments from unidentified individuals via online platforms. These payments were linked to the exchange of child pornography videos, indicating a disturbing online network involved in the distribution of such illicit material.
