DAVINA TRAVI FROM BOURNEMOUTH JAILED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF TEENAGE BOYS IN DORSET
In a case that has shocked the local community, Davina Travi, a 42-year-old woman from Bournemouth, has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison for engaging in sexual activities with two teenage boys.The offences took place in Dorset, where Travi’s actions have raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of minors in the area.
According to court proceedings, Travi had sexual encounters with the two boys, aged 13 and 14, as a form of reward after they vandalized a car belonging to her ex-lover’s partner.
The incident was uncovered when one of the boys confided in a social worker, leading to an investigation that revealed her inappropriate conduct.
During the trial at Bournemouth Crown Court, it was disclosed that Travi had a history of hosting parties at her former residence, where she allowed children to smoke and drink alcohol.
These gatherings often involved socializing with young people, creating an environment that authorities described as highly inappropriate and dangerous.
The court heard that Travi’s sexual relationship with the boys was motivated by their involvement in damaging her ex-lover’s partner’s vehicle.
She claimed that the allegations were false and that her medical condition made it impossible for her to engage in such activities, though these claims did not prevent her from being convicted.
Maria Sciberras, the senior crown prosecutor for CPS Wessex, emphasized the gravity of the case, stating, ‘Davina Travi, a mother of five, was sentenced for having sexual intercourse with two boys aged 13 and 14.
The prosecution argued that she incited the boys to commit criminal damage to her ex-lover’s partner’s car, promising them sex as a reward.
She also sent more than 500 text messages to one of the boys involved in the sexual acts.’ Prosecutors highlighted that Travi exploited the youths’ age and immaturity for her own benefit, a serious breach of trust and legal boundaries.
The court also learned that her parties often involved alcohol and smoking, further exposing minors to risky environments.
In addition to her prison sentence, Travi has been placed on the sex offenders’ register for life, a measure intended to monitor her activities and prevent further harm.
Authorities hope that this case will serve as a warning to other teenagers and parents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to the police, ensuring the safety of vulnerable young people in Dorset and beyond.
