GATESHEAD MAN JAILED FOR DOUBLE RAPE AND ASSAULT ON VICTIM WHO WAS LEFT FEELING 'DIRTY', USES DETTOL TO CLEANSE
A woman was subjected to a double rape by David Wilson, who ignored her desperate pleas for him to stop.
The victim, feeling so violated that she initially couldn't touch her own skin, washed herself with Dettol in an attempt to regain a sense of cleanliness.
Wilson, 49, from Garth Farm Road, Winlaton, Gateshead, denied two counts of rape but was found guilty by a jury.
He was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Recorder Mark Giuliani told him: "You decided your desires and your needs were more important than her wishes.
She was making it clear she wanted you to stop.
You didn't.
She was saying 'no, don't, stop' and you ignored her wishes because you wanted to satisfy your own carnal desire and didn't give a care about her wishes." The court was informed that Wilson has a history of violence.
