HARRODS THREATENER'S LONG HISTORY OF STALKING VICTIM IN FEAR AFTER RELEASE
David Williamson has recently been released from prison after serving a sentence for threatening to blow up high-profile landmarks and tourist sites, including Harrods. He has a long history of targeting Kate Hall, with the stalking beginning in 1987 when she refused his marriage proposal.
Williamson has terrorized her for over 30 years, including threatening her over the phone while incarcerated.
On separate occasions, he held her captive in her own home, threatening her with a knife and an airgun.
Kate, now 55, has taken measures for her safety by installing CCTV and upgrading her alarm system, especially after learning Williamson was being released from a 10-year prison sentence.
She describes how Williamson first began stalking her in 1987, vandalizing her property, spray-painting her flats, and threatening violence.
He previously held her hostage in 1994 and 1997, armed with an airgun, leading to police negotiations and her brief imprisonment.
After his release, Williamson attacked a police officer and later held Kate at knifepoint, resulting in a 24-month jail sentence.
Williamson's harassment includes following her, sitting outside her house, sending obscene notes, broken glass, and tormenting her with letters and text messages from prison.
Kate discusses her fear and frustration, highlighting poor police training regarding stalking cases and her desire for better support.
Despite numerous court orders and attempts to intervene, Williamson continued his campaign of harassment over the years, including from Swaleside Prison in Kent.
Kate has expressed her fear of his return and seeks recognition of her plight as a stalking victim in need of more robust police action.
