PERTH MAN DAVID MCLEISH SENTENCED TO 12 YEARS FOR SEXUAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE IN PERTHSHIRE

A man from Perth, identified as David McLeish, has been handed down a severe prison sentence of 12 years following his conviction on multiple serious charges related to sexual and physical assaults.

The crimes took place over a span of more than ten years and involved a disturbing pattern of abuse against two women and seven children in the Perthshire region.

McLeish, aged 49, faced a court that heard harrowing details of his offenses, which included rape and lewd conduct.

His victims ranged widely in age, from as young as four years old to as old as 43, highlighting the extensive and varied nature of his criminal behavior.

The court was informed that the abuse was not isolated but occurred repeatedly over a lengthy period, with some of the assaults characterized by violent methods that caused significant harm and trauma to those affected.

Following his conviction, McLeish will be subject to strict supervision upon his release from prison.

Additionally, he is required to register as a sex offender, a measure intended to monitor and prevent further offenses.
