DAVID GILROY, CONVICTED MURDERER, IN FRESH APPEAL TO FIND SUZANNE PILLEY'S BODY
David Gilroy was convicted of Suzanne Pilley's murder in 2012 and sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison.
He was accused of killing Suzanne, a 38-year-old bookkeeper, in 2010 after he confronted her over ending their affair.
The police believe he murdered her in the basement of the building where they both worked and then transported her body to Lochgilphead, Argyll, where they suspect he buried her.
Despite extensive searches in areas such as Rest and Be Thankful and Argyll Forest, her body has not been recovered.
Gilroy has repeatedly claimed to be innocent and has appealed to have the case reopened.
Damage to his vehicle and vegetation suggested he traveled off-road, and police noted a red and white golf umbrella may have been left on his car's parcel shelf.
The case remains unresolved, and authorities continue to seek public assistance in locating Suzanne Pilley's remains to allow her family to give her a proper funeral and closure.
