PRESTON MAN SENTENCED FOR BRUTAL MURDER OF EX-GIRLFRIEND
David Bullman, aged 29 and living on Elswick Road in Ashton, Preston, received a life sentence for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Nicola Seed.
The killing took place at her residence in Hazel Grove, Ribbleton, in February.
A post-mortem examination determined that Nicola died from head injuries caused by beating and strangulation.
During his trial at Preston Crown Court, Bullman admitted to the murder on the first day, leading to a conviction and a sentence of 16 years in prison.
Senior Investigating Officer Det Ch Insp Andrea Barrow expressed her approval of the verdict, emphasizing that Bullman showed a lack of respect for human life and callously ended Nicola’s life, leaving her four children without a mother.
The sentence affords Bullman an opportunity to contemplate his actions while serving a lengthy jail term.
