A woman was subjected to a terrifying assault by Darren Arnold, 40, who threw a wooden chair at her after accusing her of 'being secretive.' The incident occurred when the couple, who had been together for about two years, visited a pub in Pontefract last January.The woman had been hiding from Arnold, who had previously been violent towards her, including an incident where he threw a chair at her in a pub.
Arnold's violent behavior escalated when he accused her of secrecy, leading him to hurl the chair in her direction.
The woman was forced to hide and was later forced to endure further abuse.
Arnold's actions were so severe that he was jailed for a period of time after the court found him guilty of assault and violent conduct related to the incident.
