DANNY BAILEY

On the morning of 28 June 2024, Danny Bailey forced entry into a woman's property in Rochester.

The woman initially thought her visitor was a neighbor and opened the door, but Bailey pushed her back inside the house and made threats to kill her.

Subsequently, he committed a sexual assault and physically attacked her, resulting in injuries such as lip cuts and scratches on her neck.

The victim was able to escape and barricade herself in an upstairs bedroom, where her screams prompted a neighbor to contact the police.

Bailey had left the scene before authorities arrived but was detained shortly afterwards at his residence on Brompton Lane in Strood.

He claimed he had spent the entire night watching television at home.

Following a trial, the 42-year-old was convicted of multiple charges, including rape, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, and actual bodily harm.

On Thursday, 23 October 2025, at Maidstone Crown Court, Bailey was sentenced to a prison term of 12 years, with an additional two-year extended licence period.
