COURT ORDER FOR MAN WHO REPEATEDLY EXPOSED HIMSELF
A man dressed in a tutu and portraying the Grinch who lifted his skirt to expose himself to two children has been prohibited from entering woods near his residence and from approaching solitary women.Daniel Wood was identified by two girls in Tonbridge over two years ago as they were walking home from school.
Since that incident, he has publicly exposed himself on two additional occasions and has violated the terms of a community order.
He was detained in April 2024 and admitted to three charges of exposure as well as failing to comply with a community protection notice.
He stated that his actions were not driven by sexual pleasure but rather by a preference for wearing women’s clothing.
Last November, Wood received a 12-month order mandating rehabilitation and the wearing of a GPS tracker for six months, along with a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order that restricted him from entering woods, wearing see-through clothing in public, or approaching lone women.
The court acknowledged his difficult background and issues related to gender identity.
His misconduct has caused emotional distress to victims, with one girl expressing fear of leaving her house following the incident.
