A Birmingham man who raped two women has been locked up for 20 years.
Both women were subjected to enduring sexual assaults and rapes over several hours by Daniel Thomas, who was 49 years old at the time.
Thomas denied the charges throughout the trial, but Birmingham Crown Court found him guilty of nine counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
In 2022, he assaulted a woman multiple times at a flat in Ladywood, and in 2025, he engaged in similar sexual offences at a location in Edgbaston.
Despite his denials during police interviews, investigators managed to establish a case against him, aided by the victims’ statements.
DNA evidence was also significant, linking him to one of the women despite his claims of no contact.
He has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and will be on the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of his life.
