WORCESTER MAN JAILED FOR GBH AFTER BABY HAD TOE NAIL PULLED OUT
A Worcester man, Craig Sayers, was jailed for nine years for causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) to a 15-month-old baby, which included pulling out her toenail and causing multiple fractures.
The court heard that the injuries occurred at her home, with Sayers and the mother, Madison Ricketts-Devereux, both convicted by a jury of causing Section 18 GBH with intent.
The mother was also sentenced to six years in prison.
The court noted that Sayers had been of 'good character' until his 31st year, but the nature of the injuries, the victim's vulnerability, and the fact they occurred at home were aggravating factors.
