ST BOSWELLS MAN JAILED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A 43-YEAR-OLD man has been convicted of two offences involving a girl under the age of 13 years old following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.Craig Brown of Weirgate Avenue, St Boswells, was found guilty of causing a young child to look at a sexual image and communicating indecently with a young child.
He was also convicted of wilfully ill-treating a child causing her unnecessary suffering.
The offences happened in Selkirk between 2014 and 2018.
Brown had several other charges against him found not proven.
Sentence has been deferred until Thursday, December 4 for the production of a criminal justice social work report and Brown had his bail continued.

The offences happened in Selkirk between 2014 and 2018.
Brown, formerly of Weirgate Avenue, St Boswells, gave an address in Longniddry.
The jail sentence was back-dated to November 18.
He was also made subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act for 10 years and was banned from having any contact with the victim for an indefinite period through a non-harassment order.
