CORAL PIIR SENTENCED IN BOURNEMOUTH FOR CRUELTY TO DOG
Coral Piir, a male defendant born in June 1999 and residing at 32A Draper Road, Christchurch BH23 3AP, was convicted in 2025 of subjecting a small Chihuahua cross named Poppy to multiple injuries.
Piir, who emigrated from Estonia, admitted to causing unnecessary suffering to Poppy on Carysfort Road in Bournemouth.
The attacks occurred between July 10, 2023, and August 9, 2023.
His charge alleged that he failed to exercise reasonable care and supervision to protect the dog from harm, leading to repeated and multiple injuries.
Piir also acknowledged failing to seek or provide prompt and adequate veterinary care for Poppy’s injuries.
The current condition of Poppy was not reported, and it is unknown whether she survived the incident.
Regarding sentencing, Piir received a 26-week custodial sentence suspended for 12 months.
He is also required to attend 12 mental health treatment sessions, complete 20 days of rehabilitation activities, and perform 150 hours of unpaid work.

Piir is disqualified from owning any animals for 10 years, with the ban set to expire in January 2035.
