PERTH MAN SENTENCED FOR LONG-TERM DOMESTIC ABUSE AND THREATS TO SHARE INTIMATE PHOTOS
Connor Dickson subjected his partner to abuse at public events including Perth’s Ladies Day and the 2023 Radio One Big Weekend where other revellers were forced to intervene.
He left his girlfriend feeling “trapped and terrified” after subjecting her to drunken aggression, degrading remarks, unwanted gifts, money, and emails.
At Perth Sheriff Court, Dickson, 25, admitted engaging in a course of abusive behaviour towards his former partner between May 2022 and February 2025.
The abuse included threatening to share intimate photos of her with friends, sharing such images, and attempting to control her through monetary transfers and a barrage of emails.
He also shared photos showing self-harm and threatened to share her personal images if she did not meet him.
The court sentenced him to a community payback order, including 200 hours of unpaid work and supervision for a year, warning that a breach could lead to custody.
