COLIN LIPSCOMBE FROM EASTBOURNE PLEADS GUILTY TO CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES IN HAILSHAM
In a serious case that has shocked the local community, 53-year-old Colin Lipscombe, a resident of Wordsworth Drive in Eastbourne, has admitted to possessing a significant number of indecent images and videos of children.The charges stem from offenses that occurred in the vicinity of Market Street, Hailsham, during a period spanning from May 24 to August 10 of the previous year.
According to court records, Lipscombe pleaded guilty to multiple counts related to the possession of indecent images and videos of children, categorized under different levels of severity.
Specifically, he admitted to making 295 Category A indecent images of children, which are considered the most serious, along with 21 Category A indecent videos.
In addition, he confessed to creating 688 Category B indecent images and 21 videos, as well as 144 Category C indecent images and 28 videos, which are classified as less severe but still constitute serious criminal offenses.
The offenses took place over a span of several months, indicating a sustained period of illegal activity.
The case was brought before Lewes Crown Court, where Lipscombe was committed for sentencing.
As part of his legal proceedings, he was released on conditional bail, with strict conditions imposed to prevent further offenses.
These conditions included a prohibition on using any file-sharing computer software and a requirement not to seek or remain in the company of any child under the age of 18.
