INVERNESS SEX OFFENDER CODY GRASSICK ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT ON YOUNG GIRL AT LOCAL TESCO
Cody Grassick, an 18-year-old man from Inverness, made an appearance at Inverness Sheriff Court to face serious allegations of sexual assault involving a young girl.The incident reportedly took place within the confines of a Tesco store located in Inverness on November 20, 2023.
According to court documents and witness testimonies, Grassick approached the young girl, who was under the age of 13, while she was shopping in the clothing section of the store.
Without any verbal communication, he took advantage of the moment to inappropriately touch her private parts over her clothing, an act that caused immediate distress and fear in the young girl.
In a state of alarm, the girl quickly pulled Grassick’s hand away and sought help from her mother.
The mother, upon witnessing the incident or being informed of it, promptly alerted the store staff and management about the assault.
The store staff responded swiftly, but by the time police arrived, Grassick had already left the premises.
However, law enforcement officers managed to detain him shortly afterward, leading to his arrest.
During the court proceedings, Grassick admitted guilt to the charge of sexual assault.
The court has decided to defer sentencing until March 13, 2024, to allow for a comprehensive background report and an assessment to determine his suitability for a sex offender’s rehabilitation program.
In the meantime, his bail has been extended, and he has been placed on the sex offender’s register with immediate effect, signifying the seriousness of the charges and the ongoing legal process.
