CLIVE GLASFORD'S SHOCKING CRIME IN BIRMINGHAM: HOUSING OFFICER'S BRUTAL ASSAULT ON VULNERABLE WOMAN

A former housing officer from Birmingham, Clive Glasford, has been handed a five-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a heinous assault against a vulnerable woman. According to court records, the victim, who was experiencing financial hardship and facing the threat of eviction, initially sought assistance from her local Birmingham council. Despite not providing her contact details, Glasford took the initiative to contact her directly and even visited her residence. The police report details that Glasford, aged 47, later returned unannounced to the woman's home after an evening spent at a pub. During this visit, the woman was asleep, with her young son present in the same room. It was during this time that Glasford committed the assault while she was unconscious. Court proceedings revealed that the woman was subjected to sexual contact without her consent, as she had passed out and was unable to resist. She awoke to the horrifying realization that she was being raped, an act that has left her with lasting psychological scars.

The judge overseeing the case described the assault as a grave abuse of trust, emphasizing the severity of Glasford’s betrayal. The fact that the victim was unconscious and that her young son was present during the attack made the crime even more reprehensible.
