2008: MAN IS JAILED FOR INDECENT ASSAULT
A man who indecently assaulted a 14-year-old girl he had met on the internet was told he must serve a minimum of two years in jail.
Judge Simon Barham told Christopher London he will only be released when the parole board considers he is no longer a danger to the public.
On Friday Norwich Crown Court heard that London, 28, of no fixed address, made contact with the girl on the web and met up with her in Yarmouth on September 16.
He indecently assaulted her while they watched a film at the cinema, and attacked her again on November 9 after they met outside Gorleston Library.
He admitted the sexual touching at a previous hearing, when he was remanded in custody, and appeared for sentence yesterday.
The court heard he suffered from a mild mental disorder and a personality disorder.
London will be on licence for 10 years, disqualified from working with children indefinitely, and will be subject to a sex offenders' prevention order for 10 years which prevents him from being in contact with anyone under 16.
He is also on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
