OFFENDER CHRISTOPHER KILLICK FINALLY JAILED AFTER RELENTLESS HARASSMENT OF EMILY HUNT
The former government rape adviser has said she is relieved after Christopher Killick, 45, has been sentenced to three years in prison at Preston Crown Court after being convicted of harassing Emily Hunt.
Killick had previously pleaded guilty to voyeurism in relation to filming Ms Hunt naked in a hotel room in 2015 while she was unconscious.
Emily Hunt expressed her relief, stating, "it only took 3,706 days of me fighting for Killick to finally get a jail sentence." She added, "It’s remarkable, I’m really pleased that somebody listened.
For the time he is in prison, I will know that I am safe.
And for that, I am incredibly grateful." Killick's criminal history includes an initial arrest in 2015 when she woke up naked in a hotel room with no recollection of how she got there, and the case was dropped due to a lack of evidence, although he denied rape.
Her determination to seek justice led to a change in law, enabling police to charge him with voyeurism after discovering he took a 62-second video of her in the hotel.
In 2020, Killick was sentenced to a 30-month community order and fined £2,000, along with a restraining order forbidding contact with Ms Hunt.
Despite this, he continued offending by breaching court orders; he was sentenced to a 14-month prison sentence, suspended for two years in March 2023, after repeatedly posting about Hunt on social media.
He breached the restraining order again in July 2024 by tweeting about her and did so once more in April 2025 while awaiting sentencing, leading to his imprisonment.
During sentencing, Judge Michael Maher criticized Killick’s persistent breaches, saying, "each breach represents an unwavering persistence on your part," and complimented Ms Hunt’s resilience, noting her "great courage." Ms Hunt, now residing in the US, also criticized the criminal justice system for its failure to prevent his reoffending, citing repeated releases without consequences.
The article notes Killick's previous attempt to stand as an independent parliamentary candidate in Hartlepool in 2021.
His behavior showcases an obsession with Ms Hunt, which resulted in multiple breaches of restraining orders and additional jail time.
