'ABHORRENT' PAEDOPHILE SNARED OVER VILE CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND SICK FANTASY CHATS
An 'abhorrent' paedophile has been jailed after sharing vile images of children and discussing his sick fantasies online.
Christopher Kenyon posted the images - including some involving children as young as two - to his social media accounts, while also posting disturbing messages about child sexual abuse.
Police uncovered a large number of indecent images and conversations on his devices following an investigation, leading to his arrest and charge.
Kenyon, of The Shortlands in Padiham, later admitted three counts of making indecent images of children across categories A, B and C, as well as offences relating to obscene publications.
He was jailed for three years at Preston Crown Court last week.
He was also handed a 15-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Det Con Beth Turner, of our Internet Child Exploitation Team, said: "Kenyon’s behaviour is utterly abhorrent, and I welcome the custodial sentence which he has been given.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation can cause lifelong physical and emotional trauma for victims and we will continue to target people engaged in all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation, both those carrying out contact child sexual abuse and those committing online offences such as creating, sharing or viewing indecent images of children, grooming or blackmailing children online, as well as those streaming ‘live’ and recorded abuse."
