A man from Northwich has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of assaulting his ex-partner.
Christopher Greenwood appeared before Chester Crown Court on Monday, 10 November, and was sentenced to three years and nine months behind bars.
The 32-year-old, who was once a resident of Barnton, was found guilty of a single count of section 47 assault after a trial held at Chester.
The court was told that at approximately 6:30am on Thursday, 14 August 2025, police responded to reports of an incident at a residential property in Barnton.
Upon arriving, officers confirmed that Greenwood had forced entry into his former partner’s home and assaulted her.
During the assault, he kicked her multiple times in the face and stomped on her head, resulting in a fractured eye socket.
