WATFORD MAN JAILED FOR STALKING AND EXPOSING HIMSELF TO FEMALE THERAPISTS
A “dangerous” Watford sex pest who stalked and exposed himself to female therapists nationwide has been sentenced to four years in prison with an additional four years on licence after pleading guilty to stalking, two counts of exposure, and causing a person to engage in sexual activity.
Between May and November 2024, Chavez Johnson, 29, of The Mead, used aliases to contact isolated women, including therapists, under the pretense of seeking help.
Instead, he subjected them to unwanted sexual behaviors, harassment, and calls during early hours, causing distress.
Following an investigation, he was arrested in December 2024 and remanded in custody until his trial in June, where he pleaded guilty.
The court deemed him dangerous due to the pattern of escalation over seven months, considering him a high risk of serious harm.
Johnson will serve at least two thirds of his sentence before eligibility for parole.
The court also issued a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order and restraining orders to prevent contact with victims.
Detective Constable Jake Smith stated, “Johnson’s behaviour is extremely disturbing.
He preyed upon lone and isolated female professionals who wanted to help him but was instead abusive.”
