KILLER PAEDO ‘BATTERED FELLOW INMATE’ IN BRUTAL SCOTS JAIL JAIL
Charles O’Neill, 63, allegedly left a fellow inmate bleeding from a serious head injury after battering him with a metal pole in a jail gym at HMP Edinburgh.
Sources claim he was taken into the segregation unit after the attack.
O’Neill remains unrepentant because he is likely to spend the rest of his life behind bars for the horrific murder of Allison McGarrigle, 39, in 1997.
It is revealed that O’Neill and William Lauchlan, 48, strangled Allison and dumped her body in the sea at Largs, Ayrshire, after she threatened to tell police they had molested a boy.
The pair had previous convictions for raping, drugging, and abusing kids.
A police spokesperson said they were called to the nick last month, with a 52-year-old prisoner rushed to hospital and O’Neill reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
