MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AFTER ATTACKING FORMER PARTNER
A 26-year-old man named Cailum Jones from Gwenfro, Wrexham, has been sentenced to two years in prison for domestic violence offenses.
He admitted to inflicting grievous bodily harm and committing two counts of assault on his former partner.
The incident occurred in the early hours of November 11th last year, when officers responded to a call at the victim’s home after Jones had punched her in the face, causing a cut above her lip and chipping her teeth.
Following his arrest and subsequent bail with conditions not to contact her, further disclosures revealed that Jones had assaulted her on multiple occasions over the past twelve months.
The victim reported that Jones had grabbed her by the hair and assaulted her during arguments on two different occasions.
After breaching his bail conditions, Jones was charged again.
The court imposed a five-year restraining order to protect the victim.
Detective Constable Troy Williams emphasized that violent behavior towards women is unacceptable and urged victims to come forward, praising the victim for her bravery in supporting the investigation.
