DOMESTIC ABUSER BRIAN GAVIN NEWALL RECEIVED NON HARASSMENT ORDERS AGAINST EX PARTNER AND DAUGHTER
The Glasgow Sheriff Court has issued a non-harassment order against his daughter and ex, following a conviction related to domestic abuse.On March 11, 2025, Summary Sheriff V.
Lunny issued this order under Section 234A of the Criminal Procedure (Scotland) Act 1995 in Glasgow Sheriff Court proceedings.
The order was directed at Brian Gavin Newall, born on March 19, 1986, after the court found he committed an offence under the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018 involving inappropriate conduct toward another individual.
This legal measure, set for ten years, prevents Newall from approaching, communicating with, or attempting to contact the protected person by any means.
It also bans entry to specific locations.
Non-harassment orders serve as enforceable legal protections to shield victims from further harm.
Violating such an order is considered a criminal offence and may lead to additional legal consequences.
