GLASGOW MASSEUR BRADLEY ANGUS CONVICTED OF SEXUAL ASSAULTS
A masseur has been found guilty of sexually abusing women during charity fundraising activities.Bradley Angus, aged 30, was accused of inappropriately touching a 28-year-old woman while providing her with a massage at St Andrew's Church in Dumbarton in December 2013.
Additionally, he assaulted a 45-year-old woman inside her home while participating in a door-to-door fundraising campaign in Irvine, North Ayrshire, in June 2015.
At Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, the sentencing for Angus was postponed.
The court also ordered Angus, formerly residing in Balloch and now living in Glasgow, to be added to the sex offenders' register.
Evidence revealed that the first incident occurred at the church hall in Dumbarton, where beauty professionals offered services in exchange for charitable donations.
The 28-year-old victim was lying in a darkened room covered with a towel when Angus touched her genitals.
The victim’s sister explained to the court: "I thought it was strange she was in there for so long, and when she came out, she was walking with her head down.
I asked if she had enjoyed it, and she said she didn't want to talk about it.
She looked upset, shocked, and embarrassed.
I could tell something was wrong, and she told me what happened." The second assault involved Angus entering a house in Irvine, where he was taken to the kitchen by a 45-year-old woman while her young son was elsewhere.
She prepared him a cup of tea, but shortly afterwards, Angus fled as the woman, who was described as 'hysterical,' told her husband, "He just touched me up." The husband pursued Angus, who claimed that the woman had made advances and touched him.
Sheriff Elizabeth McFarlane convicted Angus of the sexual offenses, noting that he appeared to derive a thrill from committing these acts in public settings.
Angus's sentencing is scheduled for the following month.
