HALLOWEEN TRAIN ASSAULT: MAN WALKS FREE AFTER GROPING WOMAN
Borja De Zuloaga, of Norman Road, Wimbledon, started stroking a woman's buttocks while she was travelling on a train from Imperial Wharf station around 7.30pm on Halloween.
The 26-year-old victim reported feeling someone brushing their hand over her, initially thinking it was an accident.
However, De Zuloaga then pushed his hand under her dress, stroked her buttocks, and groped her over her tights.
Despite her efforts to move away, his hand remained in place, continuing to assault her.
The woman managed to twist and grasp his wrists, eventually removing him from touching her.
She then pulled his hand away, and he quickly moved past her to exit the train.
A detective constable described De Zuloaga's behaviour as 'repulsive,' stating, 'This was repulsive behaviour by De Zuloaga on a very busy and crowded train.
He took advantage of his space and assaulted his victim.
I am pleased he has been brought to justice.' In court, De Zuloaga was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.
He was also placed on the sex offenders' register, ordered to pay £120 in compensation and £85 in court costs, banned from working with children, and handed a 12-month supervision order.
