Blaine Norton, aged 38 and from Falcon Avenue, Grays, was convicted of rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH), and false imprisonment at Basildon Crown Court on June 9.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison and will serve an additional two-and-a-half years on license.

Norton’s actions culminated in a violent pattern over several years, and he faces a significant time behind bars as a consequence of his crimes.
