PERVERTED BULWELL SEX OFFENDER SEARCHED FOR 'COUNTRY WITH LOWEST AGE OF CONSENT'
A Nottingham sex offender made an internet search for the “country with the lowest age of consent” during his raft of criminality.Nottingham Crown Court heard how police found more than 300 sick abuse images of children as young as six when they seized a computer belonging to Benjamin Ramsey.
On one video, detectives had to watch a young drunk girl vomiting as she was being raped by an adult.
And defending himself, the 25-year-old, of Bulwell, told the hearing that he has been viewing pornography since the age of just 10.
He said: “It was not until this happened that I realised I had an addiction to porn.
“I have been watching it since the age of 10 and I think this has escalated.” Declan Austin, prosecuting, said an internet address linked to the defendant’s home address came to the attention of the police and so, on October 30, 2024, they executed a warrant there.
He said: “The defendant was at home as was his father and sister and the police asked all of them if they used a particular internet platform and all denied it.
“As he was being taken up to his bedroom, the defendant admitted to officers he used it and that they might find indecent images of children on his computer.
“It was taken and analysed and on it were 23 (of the most serious) category A images and moving images, four category B and 284 category C plus one prohibited image of a child.
They showed male and female children as young as six and one image showed a six-year-old being raped and the text ‘you can’t say no to a six-year-old’ across it.
Some were saved in files, and one video showed a young, drunk girl being raped while she vomited.
“After being arrested and initially answering “no comment" to the questions he was asked, Ramsey, of Longford Crescent, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children and one count of possession of a prohibited image of a child.
Judge Michael Auty KC handed him a 12-month jail term, suspended for two years, with a 26-day accredited treatment programme, 12 rehabilitation sessions and 150 hours of unpaid work.
