BEN MCCARTHY FROM WREXHAM JAILED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGES AND VIDEOS
Ben McCarthy, a man with ties to the Scout movement in Wrexham, has been sentenced to prison after authorities uncovered a vast collection of illegal and indecent material stored on his personal devices.The investigation revealed that McCarthy, aged 40, possessed over 87,000 images and hundreds of videos that depicted the abuse of children, some of which included covert recordings of young girls changing clothes.
During the court proceedings, it was disclosed that McCarthy had stored extreme images and manipulated photographs, with certain pictures zoomed in on children's underwear, highlighting the disturbing nature of his collection.
The court heard that he had a large cache of these illicit materials hidden on a hard drive concealed beneath his bed, indicating deliberate efforts to hide his activities.
