JADEN MOODIE'S KILLER MUST SERVE AT LEAST 21 YEARS IN PRISON
A teenager has been jailed for life for the "barbaric" gang murder of former Arnold schoolboy Jaden Moodie.Jurors heard his DNA was found on a bloody yellow rubber glove and knife discarded after the killing.
He was found guilty of Jaden's murder and having a blade at the Old Bailey last week.
On Wednesday, Judge Richard Marks QC sentenced him to life in prison with a minimum term of 21 years plus 18 months to run concurrently.
Judge Marks said Jaden had been associated with the rival Beaumont Crew gang, but "he did not deserve to die".
He mentioned Majdouline's background as a "modern slavery" victim and his previous admissions to drug dealing but denied involvement in Jaden's murder.
The killing was caught on CCTV footage shown in court.
Jurors learned that Majdouline, who was identified as a "modern slavery" victim, had a troubled background, including early involvement in crime since age 13 and being a victim of "shattered existence".
The court heard that he had a family history of trauma, had been attacked in prison, and showed capacity for decency despite his history.
