AVAN MOGRIDGE FROM STAMFORD SENTENCED FOR GUILDFORD RAPE AND ATTACK

In a harrowing case that has shocked the community, Avan Mogridge, a 32-year-old man from Church Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire, was sentenced to a total of 18 years in prison following a brutal and traumatic assault on a teenage girl. The incident took place on October 22, 2016, in a wooded area near Parkway, Guildford, where Mogridge committed a series of heinous acts that have left a lasting impact on the victim and the local community.

According to court proceedings, Mogridge was convicted on multiple charges, including two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of threatening to kill the young girl. I am now traumatised, scared, drained and frightened. One day in October, because of one person, my life turned upside down and my dreams disappeared.”

Mogridge was subsequently sentenced to serve 14 years in custody, with an additional four years on licence, reflecting the severity of his crimes and the impact on the victim’s life.
