A man aged 35 has admitted to raping three elderly residents at a care home, an incident which police have described as 'shocking' and deeply troubling.
Joshua Springer, who committed these crimes at a facility in Stamford, Lincolnshire, also assaulted a fourth woman at a different location in North Yorkshire.
During his court appearance at Lincoln Crown Court, Springer pleaded guilty to nine counts of rape and three counts of producing indecent images of children.
His sentencing is scheduled for February.
Law enforcement from Lincolnshire confirmed ongoing investigations into Springer, who also goes by the names Kearney and Kearney-Springer, and encouraged any additional victims to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer Lovatt commented: 'Springer’s conduct demonstrates a serious absence of human decency and respect for those he targeted.
He exploited a position of trust to carry out assaults against some of society’s most vulnerable individuals.
It is truly appalling, and I extend my sympathies to the victims and their families.' The inquiry was initiated in June following reports that vulnerable individuals had been sexually assaulted at an elderly residential care facility, which cannot be publicly named due to legal restrictions.
Springer, of Cornstall Buildings in Stamford, Lincolnshire, was taken into custody and charged in July.
