STALKER WHO MADE A WOMAN'S LIFE MISERY FOR MONTHS HAS BEEN SENTENCED
A 29-year-old Ashley Edge from Victoria Street in Newtown appeared in court to confess to stalking a woman and causing her considerable alarm and distress through his actions.
The court was informed that between August of the previous year and June of this year, Edge repeatedly sent emails, texts, made phone calls, and delivered unwanted presents to the victim’s home.
The magistrates highlighted that Edge was aware his conduct was upsetting and had a significant disruptive impact on her daily life.
He was sentenced to 36 weeks in prison, but the sentence was suspended for 18 months.
He was also ordered to participate in 15 days of rehabilitative activities and complete 60 hours of unpaid work.
In addition, he must pay the victim £500 in compensation.
