KIRKCALDY MAN GUILTY OF GROPING WOMAN AT CONCERT
A Fife pervert groped a waitress in a plush suite at a pop concert.Artur Sobbek, aged 51, preyed on the woman at Glasgow’s Hydro arena on October 31, 2024, during a concert for the German rave band Scooter.
Sobbek had attended the gig and was stationed in a VIP area at the time.
Glasgow Sheriff Court was told that Sobbek initially stared at the woman, which caused her to feel uncomfortable.
He then approached her around 8:20 pm, smiling, put his hand on her shoulder, ran his hand down her back, and touched her buttocks.
The woman immediately stepped back and told him 'don’t touch me.' She informed her colleagues and was noted to appear visibly upset.
Police officers working at the event were alerted and subsequently located Sobbek for arrest.
Sobbek stated to officers, “I only touched her hand,” and pleaded guilty to sexual assault.
His sentencing was deferred pending background reports until October by Sheriff Bernard Ablett.
Sobbek was granted bail and placed on the sex offenders register pending the outcome.
