ARNOLDAS KALKAUSKAS SHOCKS LONDON WITH ANIMAL ABUSE IN BOURNEMOUTH

Arnoldas Kalkauskas, a man born on December 21, 1994, in Cleveland Road, South Woodford, East London, has been found guilty of committing an animal welfare offence following a thorough investigation initiated by the RSPCA.

Eyewitnesses reported witnessing Kalkauskas engaging in acts of cruelty towards a cockapoo dog named Pablo. The disturbing incident took place in Bournemouth, Dorset, on September 15, 2022, where he was seen physically abusing the animal. The witnesses' accounts described him dragging and kicking Pablo, actions that caused significant distress and suffering to the dog.

Further investigation led authorities back to Kalkauskas's residence in London, confirming his connection to the incident. A veterinarian involved in the case provided a detailed assessment, stating, "In my opinion, the act of dragging and kicking Pablo would have caused him to suffer physiologically and psychologically. Kalkauskas failed to protect Pablo from pain and caused unnecessary suffering." This expert testimony underscored the severity of the cruelty inflicted upon the animal.

RSPCA Inspector Miranda Albinson expressed her gratitude for the public's assistance in bringing the case to light. She emphasized the importance of community involvement, saying, "We’re always grateful to members of the public who kindly speak up for animals and report anything they witness which causes them concern. Animals feel pain, fear, and distress, just as we do, and deserve to always be safe from harm."

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Kalkauskas had been struggling with heavy alcohol consumption following the death of his father approximately six months prior to the incident. The court sentenced him to 120 hours of unpaid work, imposed a fine of £150, and issued a seven-year ban on owning dogs, which will remain in effect until March 2032. It was also confirmed that Kalkauskas no longer owns Pablo or any other pets, indicating a loss of ownership rights as part of his punishment.
