MAN ASSAULTED PREGNANT PARTNER AFTER ACCUSING HER OF THEFT
Anthony Slater admitted to assaulting his pregnant partner at her home in Church Street, Heckmondwike, on January 29.
The court heard that he accused her of stealing his money and reacted violently.
He grabbed her by the hair, pushed her out of the house with another man present, and kicked her to her back and shoulder.
During the incident, Slater also smashed a glass pane in the front door and caused damage to a living room window.
The 45-year-old, of West Park Street, Dewsbury, pleaded guilty to two charges of assault and criminal damage.
Ian Whiteley, representing Slater, explained that his client has mental health issues and was on medication, which has since been adjusted to help stabilize him.
