SHOCKING RELOCATION OF NUNEATON POSTMAN ANTHONY PARNELL NEAR BIRMINGHAM AND LEAMINGTON SPA SCHOOLS

In a startling development, Anthony Parnell, a convicted sex offender from Nuneaton, has been moved to a new residence situated dangerously close to two primary schools in Birmingham. This decision by authorities has raised serious concerns among local residents and school officials alike.

Parnell, who previously served a three-year prison sentence after admitting to serious sexual offenses involving a nine-year-old girl, has now been relocated to a bail hostel that overlooks a playground used by children aged three to eleven. The move was made despite the fact that Parnell is a high-profile offender, and he has been assigned a new identity—Tony Golt—to shield him from potential harassment and to maintain his safety.

The hostel where Parnell now resides is situated near the Birchfield Community School and is only a short distance from Sacred Heart Primary School. Both institutions serve nearly 900 young children in the Aston area of Birmingham. The hostel’s windows directly overlook a play area, raising alarm among parents and staff about the proximity of a convicted sex offender to vulnerable children.

According to reports, staff at the hostel have been instructed to keep Parnell’s new identity confidential, and he is subject to an 11 pm to 6 am curfew. During the daytime, he is permitted to walk freely in the streets without supervision. The decision to place him so close to schools has been met with criticism, especially since the local head of Sacred Heart Primary, Lisa Fahy, was unaware of Parnell’s new residence until the revelation by The Sun.

Fahy stated, “This offender may be in the vicinity but we tell children there can be a lot of dangers beyond the school gates. We operate a Stranger Danger scheme and work with the police to keep children safe. That is all we can do.”

Meanwhile, a former staff member at the hostel expressed outrage over the secrecy surrounding Parnell’s move. “Staff have gone to great pains to keep Parnell’s move a secret. The false name is apparently to protect him from harassment but it’s disgusting the primary school haven’t been told what scum is now living next to them. Who needs more protection? The kids or the paedophile?”

Anthony Parnell, who is also known as Tony Golt, was previously convicted in June 2004 for the sexual abuse of a nine-year-old girl. He was sentenced to three years in prison and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life. Parnell’s criminal record includes the possession of 591 indecent images of children, some depicting sadistic acts, and eight other charges related to downloading indecent images onto his computer.

He was also identified as a postman working in Nuneaton, with a history of good character prior to his offenses. Parnell is currently on license, and authorities have indicated that placing offenders in monitored hostels allows for more effective supervision and enhances public safety. An official from the Home Office explained that such placements are intended to facilitate better monitoring of offenders and reduce the risk to the community.

In addition to his residence in Birmingham, Parnell has been previously spotted at a hostel on Kenilworth Road in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, further highlighting the concern over his proximity to children in multiple locations across the region.
