ANTHONY MARTIN FROM REDRUTH SENTENCED FOR CHILD RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN GUILDFORD
In a case that has shocked the community, Anthony Martin, a 28-year-old man from Redruth, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses involving a young boy. The sentencing took place at Truro Crown Court, where Deputy High Court Judge Sir John Royce handed down a seven-year prison sentence to Martin for his involvement in historic child rape and sexual assault cases.According to court records, Martin was found guilty of two counts of child rape, four counts of indecency with a child, and four indecent assaults on a male victim. The offenses occurred over a span of three years, from June 1999 to September 2002, in Guildford, Surrey. The jury, after less than an hour of deliberation, convicted Martin last month, highlighting the strength of the evidence against him.
During the sentencing hearing, additional disturbing details emerged about Martin’s past. It was revealed that he had previously received a caution for the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl, during which he encouraged her to touch his genitals.
