ANTHONY LEACY'S SHOCKING REVELATIONS NEAR WEXFORD SCHOOL: PAEDOPHILE CLAIMS VICTIMS LIED AND DENIES DANGER

In a disturbing development near Wexford, Anthony Leacy, a man with a criminal past involving child sexual offenses, has made controversial claims about his innocence and the nature of his previous convictions. Leacy, who resides just 500 meters from Shielbaggan National School, has recently spoken out, asserting that he is not a threat to children despite his criminal record.

Leacy, aged 57, retracted his earlier guilty plea to charges of sexually assaulting two young girls aged seven and eight, which had been established in court. He now claims that the allegations were fabricated by the victims out of jealousy, specifically targeting his daughter’s collection of 'Bratz' toys. He alleges that one girl, upset over her own belongings being broken at his house, conspired with the other girl to make false accusations against him.

Previously, Leacy served a two-year sentence at Midlands Prison for offenses that included showing the girls sexually explicit materials and involving them in inappropriate games, just weeks before they were to make their First Holy Communion. His employment history includes working for the Office of Public Works (OPW) at notable sites such as the Dublin Botanic Gardens, Killarney National Park, and Kennedy Arboretum in Wexford.

During a recent interview, Leacy insisted that his guilty plea was a mistake, made under legal advice, and not an admission of guilt. He claimed, “As far as I’m concerned it was pure jealously… jealousy over what my little one had,” despite court records indicating that the allegations made by the girls were substantiated. He further explained that the girls, who attended the same school and played football there, had fabricated the stories because of their envy.

Leacy detailed that the girl who accused him of sexual assault had previously damaged his daughter’s toys, which her father made her clean up, and suggested that this incident fueled the false accusations. He described the situation as a case of jealousy, with one girl allegedly convincing the other to go along with her lies. He also referenced a court testimony where a Garda (police officer) claimed he had made the girls perform degrading acts, which Leacy vehemently denied, asserting that he only admitted to showing them adult pornographic DVDs and magazines, which he claims were not found at his residence.

He expressed frustration over the allegations, stating, “Where does it end? It’s slander,” and admitted to being a “feckin’ eejit” for his past actions. Court proceedings from 2013 revealed that the offenses occurred shortly before the girls’ First Holy Communion. Evidence included Leacy showing the girls adult pornographic books and explaining sexual acts to them in detail. He also engaged in inappropriate games, such as exposing himself and encouraging the girls to mimic his actions, including removing their underwear and exposing their private parts.

The only physical contact involved lifting the girls over his shoulder and tapping their bare backsides. On one occasion, he examined his penis with a magnifying glass as part of a game. The crimes came to light when one girl, observing her mother changing a baby’s nappy, pointed out that Leacy had done similar things to them, indicating a “gentle tap” on their backsides.

When asked if he still posed a danger to children, Leacy dismissed the concern, claiming he was “completely and utterly set up.” He alleged that one of the girls had warned him beforehand that the other would lie to get him into trouble. He expressed frustration over his two years and three months of imprisonment, insisting he was innocent and only pleaded guilty on legal advice, despite the court’s findings.

Leacy also mentioned that he is working with the Innocence Project and has legal teams investigating his case further.
