EALING SEX OFFENDER AND RAPIST SENTENCED TO NINE YEARS
A convicted sex offender named Andrew Robinson, who was found guilty of raping a 61-year-old woman, continued working for an Ealing-based housing association for nearly two years after being charged with the crime.Robinson, who told his victim he was Chelsea FC striker Loic Remy before attacking her, was charged in 2014 with raping the woman hours after they met at Champers bar in Eastcote, Hillingdon, on July 26, 2014.
He was arrested later that year and charged, but his employer, Catalyst, only learned of the case through media coverage as Robinson did not disclose his arrest.
He was sentenced to nine years in prison on August 24, 2016, and is required to register as a sex offender for life.
The court heard how Robinson met his victim after getting into a cab outside a bar in Hillingdon, and after an altercation involving the victim's guest, Robinson was left alone with the woman at her home in Pinner.
He asked to use the toilet and then forced her into her bedroom, where he raped her.
He left the scene afterward, and the victim contacted police.
Investigations involved extensive CCTV and forensic work, leading to Robinson's identification.
Police suspect he may have committed other offenses and are asking anyone who may be victims to come forward.
