CHILD PORN IMAGES PERVERT IS JAILED
A PERVERT with a history of sex offences involving children has been jailed after his ex wife told the police about a number of disturbing images on his computer.Andrew Ridge, 45, from Brookland Lane in Parr pleaded guilty to amassing 88 indecent images of children.
The pictures were all deemed to be at level one, which is considered to be within the lowest bracket.
Judge Gerald Clifton told him: “The troubling aspect of your case is that in 2003 you made two appearances before two separate courts.
The first was before St Helens Magistrates, who sent you to prison for six months for a similar offence to this.
One was at Derby Crown Court for an offence of indecent assault against a young girl.
You were sentenced to prison for three years, placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely and disqualified from working with children.” Judge Clifton labelled him dangerous, adding: “Looking at all these convictions, you show a wholly unhealthy interest in young girls.” Ridge, was sentenced to eight months in jail and told that he must never work with children.
