BICESTER MAN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR JEALOUS RAGE MURDER OF WIFE
Andrew Parsons, aged 38, was found guilty of the murder of his wife, Janee Parsons, 31, which took place inside their Bicester home on December 1.He fatally stabbed her multiple times during the incident.
Evidence presented at trial included a dictation device left by Parsons to eavesdrop on his wife, which recorded her begging him not to kill her and whispering a prayer as she was being attacked.
The court watched this distressing recording during the proceedings.
Judge Patrick Eccles QC imposed a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years before Parsons could be considered for parole, citing jealousy-driven rage as the motive.
The murder occurred in front of their young son, and it was revealed that it happened two weeks after Janee confessed to having an affair and expressed her wish to separate.
Parsons was aware that his actions would profoundly affect his son’s mental wellbeing.
The judge acknowledged that Parsons was a caring father but emphasized that he would carry the emotional scars for the rest of his life, describing the case as both tragic and disturbing.
