PITLOCHRY MAN SENTENCED FOR ASSAULT AND THREATS
A Pitlochry man named Andrew Kennedy was involved in an assault and threatening behavior incident. The court heard that Kennedy bit his partner’s face and threatened to stab her after she had saved another man’s phone number using the phrase “my fave”.
He demanded “what about me?” when he checked her phone and then threatened to “put a knife in her back” as she prepared to leave the property.
During the court proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court, the 54-year-old was sentenced to 120 hours of community service.
Court evidence showed that Kennedy and the woman had a friend staying over, but after the friend left, Kennedy confronted the woman in an aggressive manner.
He held her jacket sleeve, pulled her into the living room, and took her phone, asking about the name in her phone.
When she attempted to pack to leave, he followed her and issued threats involving a knife.
Kennedy admitted to assaulting the woman by seizing her clothing and biting her on the face, as well as behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing, brandishing a bottle, and uttering threats.
