GILLINGHAM SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER ANDREW HEREWARD SENTENCED AND ADDED TO CHILD SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER

In May 2011, Andrew Hereward, a music teacher at Gillingham School, was sentenced after admitting to 17 charges related to indecent pornography involving minors on his computer.

The 26-year-old, who is currently suspended from his teaching position, has been placed on the child sex offenders register for a period of five years.

Additionally, he is required to undergo supervised monitoring for three years and attend a specialized sex offenders rehabilitation program.

Hereward appeared before the Magistrates' Court in Weymouth for the proceedings.
