CLYDEBANK MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO SENDING INDECENT IMAGES TO UNDERCOVER POLICE
Andrew Beadle, a 46-year-old man from Clyde Court, Dalmuir, pleaded guilty to sending indecent images and sexual messages to three undercover police officers in 2024.
The officers were posing as young girls—one with a 13-year-old, and two with 12-year-olds.
Beadle was in online contact with the officers when he sent images of his genitals and masturbating videos, repeatedly requesting sexual images from the officers.
The first officer was contacted between February 27 and March 5, and on June 28.
The second contact was between October 2 and 8, and the third on October 8.
When arrested, Beadle admitted to sending images but claimed he believed he was not communicating with children.
The court heard that Beadle was placed on the sex offenders register in the interim, and the Crown applied for a Sexual Harm Prevention Order with eight conditions to monitor him.
The sentencing was deferred until September 8 for report preparation, and Sheriff John McElroy KC emphasized the gravity of the offences, warning Beadle that he has a record and that all sentencing options remain open.
