WHITEHAVEN WOMAN IN COURT ACCUSED OF HISTORIC CHILD SEX OFFENCES
A WOMAN has appeared before a court to face multiple historic allegations of child sexual abuse.Andrea Slater, 50, who made a brief appearance before Workington Magistrates' Court on Monday, has yet to enter any pleas to six charges, including four child sexual assault charges.
Magistrates sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 20.
Slater, of The Rise, Whitehaven, was granted bail.
The defendant was represented during the hearing by defence solicitor Claire Kirkpatrick.
